Philadelphia area food. Yum.

Tokyo Fusion, Gateway Shopping Center, Wayne, PA

Another lark. Almost didn't notice it as we drove through the shopping center. Which would have been a shame, because Tokyo Fusion was pretty good.

Appetizer: Combination Sampler (Thai). Beef & chicken satay, dumplings, and two kinds of spring rolls (chicken/vegetable and shrimp).

Entrees: Pad Thai with Shrimp; Glass Noodle Salad (with Shrimp and Chicken). Neither was actually listed in the entree section, but we weren't going to be too hungry after a sampler.

Service: Attentive.

Ambiance: Quiet, though two dinner groups were in the Japanese hibachi section of the restaurant getting a table-side demonstration. They looked like they were having a lot of fun.

Verdict: We'll add it to our rotation. Choosing between this and the Outback Steakhouse at the end of the strip mall, I'd go here 10 times out of 10.

Cascata Caffe, Springfield, PA

Went on a lark to Cascata a few weeks ago with the wife. I'd seen it advertised for at least 10 years in the phone book, since they had a menu page. After trying it, we'll go back.

Appetizer: Stuffed Mushrooms with Crab Meat
Entrees: Tortellini with Rosa Sauce; Tortellini Della Mama

All were terrific.

Service: Our server, Mona, was excellent.
Ambiance: Perfect for a quiet evening for two, or a large party.
